Dinner at 10 Barrel with ALL the Roloff’s including their significant others!! If you saw my snapchats from this day… (aujb on snapchat) you would know that we are true Oregonians bearing the elements in this photo. It was about 38 degrees outside…. WOWZAH!
Of course had to show the siblings our river trail that Jer and I run and train on. We are training for another half marathon here in June. The Helvetia Half Marathon! The course basically does laps around Roloff Farms! It’s my favorite race. I’ve run it twice before and just love it. If you want to join us in the race you can register >> here<< Registration is a lot cheaper before April 3rd, so get on it!!! Maybe we can get burgers at Helvetia Tavern together afterwards!!!:)
Post hike drinks and hanging out with our friends the Partridges at their home in Tumalo, just outside of Bend:) They have a Bernese Mountain dog like Zach and Tori so the dogs played, the babies slept, and we talked into the night.
Since it was Spring Break, one of my Young Life girls that I met when she was in the 7th grade, was in Sunriver (just outside of Bend) visiting with her family! She is now a freshman in college at Grand Canyon University in Arizona. Erica Storm has a heart of gold and it has been an honor to walk along side her as she is grown into such an incredible woman. Seeing her just makes my heart well up with joy. Part of me feel like she is my child since I really did get to watch her grow up!! It’s so crazy!!! I can’t imagine how it will be with my own children… goodness!
Easter Sunday we turned out phones and computers off for Sabbath. We spent the day with out community in Bend, reading the scriptures, praising the Lord for redemption and resurrection, eating, drinking, and talking into the afternoon. It was a beautiful day, so Jer and I decided to whip the bike out and go for our first ride of the year! It was cold, but nostalgia distracted me. Jer and I rode this little orange bike, “The Fox,” alllllll around Los Angeles when we lived there. It was our main form of transportation for everything besides work. Love that bike. Jer wants to sell her to get a KLR…. but it makes me sad to think of letting her go hahah. Funny cause I was so against motorcycles in the beginning. Opps… accidentally fell in love.
