Anna, it was always you.
From the moment I met you, I chose you and I will continue to choose you all the days of my life.
You are my best friend, my companion, and the one who my heart will forever love. When I look at you today and all days I see a future sold out for His Glory. I see a love passionately seeking each other every day by humbling ourselves and responding to the presence of the Lord.
From this day forward, home will be by your side and I promise that as for our household, we will choose to follow the Lord.
I promise to love you each day as if it was the first.

I promise to lead you confidently in faith in times of harvest and in times of drought.
Anna, I commit my life to walking by your side, taking each step without hesitation.
I promise to cultivate an environment in our home where you can walk in the fullness of the joy and life God has called you to.
Anna, I promise to be tender with you and with our children. Always being slow to frustration.
I promise to worship with you, dance with you, and dream with you, always saying YES when the Lord calls us to respond.
I promise to never stop pursuing you. I never want to stop getting to know more about you.

Anna, I love you with my entire soul.
Joshua Benjamin Eggler,
My dearly beloved. My confidant. My best friend. My future husband. Have I told you how much I love you?
I have waited and prayed for this day, and it is with all the joy in my heart that I stand here before you and God and all of our family to enter a covenant that is unbreakable.
Josh, you are grace to me. You are my Sunday morning Hallelujah, and my sturdy rock to cling when the waves surround me. When I met you, I was lacking faith in God and lacking faith in myself. You showed me that both were possible. You have faithfully stood next to me through so many seasons of life, pointing me back to our loving savior, Jesus, every time- even if I did decide to follow my call all the way to Uganda. Not only did we find God together for the first time, but we learned how rich life is when we devote every step to His Glory and Kingdom. I wouldn’t want to have grown up with anyone else.
I want to thank you first before God and all of our family and friends. Thank you for each step of faith you’ve taken to be here today- for sticking with me, for moving to be near me in Charlotte, and most importantly, for coming up to me on the beach that very first time. I am so grateful you chose to be my friend. Thank you for pursuing my heart even though I arrived to you broken.
And even though I am flawed, totally human, and will let you down assuredly when my flesh fails. I devote and promise these things to you through Jesus.
Joshua, I promise, that I will make it my primary duty on this earth to make sure you know you are eternally loved by the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
I promise that Jesus will wear the victory in our home, and that I will always be willing to submit to His ways over my own.
I promise to reach for grace and pull it over us like a covering.
I promise to guard my heart, so that the goodness of the Lord is what flows in and out. I know I will get wrinkly and gray, and so I devote to you the beauty and the purity of my heart and soul.
I commit to being a prayerful wife over you and our family. I promise to seek the Lord’s heart first for you, before my own desires.
I promise you my time, laughter, baking skills, back scratches, encouraging words, hand holds, game nights and kitchen dances.
I devote my vulnerability to you. Because even though it is hard, I promise to let every wall crumble so you are let in on my every tear, fear, or vision.
When we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I commit oneness and unity to you. I am with you, I have no desire to step forward or back- a cord of three strands is not easily broken.
I covenant my soul to you. What is in me has been called to you, and called to promoting the love of God TOGETHER.
Joshua, my Joshua, love is a choice. A commitment to lay down my life for you, my dear. I choose love for you today and always, my dear.
I now call upon Jesus to help me solidify these words in heavenly places.

3 Sentence Love Story
Believe it or not, we met on a beach. Since then, Josh pursued the heart of a girl who found hers on the mission field in Uganda. Almost six years of distance, prayers, laughter and tears turned into a covenant of missional love for a lifetime.
