Joshua Mitchell Paff, I knew from the moment I met you that you were one of the most incredible people I had ever met. And every day since you have proven that to be true. You are strong, caring, gentle, patient, dedicated, loyal, hard-working, and absolutely hilarious. You are my person and my best friend. To say I’m smitten would be putting it lightly. Today, before God, our friends, and family I promise to respect you and grow with you. I promise to give you great back rubs, admire your muscles, and remind you to chill when you get stressed. I promise to strive to keep Christ at our center and to live as he lived. I promise to be the very best doggie mom to Boomer and all our future pups. And more importantly a great mom to our 15 kids. Kidding… I promise to still grab your butt even when you’re old and wrinkly. I promise to believe you when you compliment me and only use sarcasm when necessary. I promise to step out of my comfort zone knowing you will always be there to protect me. Through every season of life, I promise to choose you and trust you. I give myself to you fully until Jesus takes me home.
Sierra, I vow to love you as my wife from this day forward. I vow to love you in every stage of life: in youth, in happy times, in sickness, in health, and all that is to come. I vow to treasure you as the uniquely created daughter of the living God. I vow to love the past that has formed you, cherish the present, and pray for your future. I, Joshua, take you, Sierra, to be my wife, till death do us part.
