Tyler, my love,
You know that words are very important to me and naturally they come easy. However, writing exactly what I feel for you and have felt for you, for some time, seemed just about impossible. My heart is so full of gratitude for the blessing and gift that God has so graciously given me in you. His faithfulness is so evident and you are the answer to the deepest hopes and dreams of my heart. I have often been consumed about this day since I was a young preteen cutting wedding dresses out of old magazines. I have prayed over this day since junior high and prayed for a man like you. Someone kind, funny, athletic and cute. The important things in the mind of a thirteen year old. However, more importantly, God knew I needed a man who was patient, supportive, and protective of my heart and mind. On November 25, 2010, I wrote in a letter to you, my future husband who I had not yet met, “I pray that God would be preparing someone in this world for me, someone who will suit me just right. Someone that will help me make this world a better place.” I whole-heartedly believe you are that person. Someone I can stand next to every day, pushing back the fear and defeat in this world; replacing it with light, joy and hope. I could not have foreseen the journey we would take to get here. It is unique and I could not picture our story any other way. I am so fortunate to be marrying my best friend. My best friend before the potential for something more was even there. I fully know that I have found treasure in you. I am so excited to live this life together, hand in hand. Living daily in the pursuit of Jesus. Bringing life into this world and investing in the lives already here. There is no partner I’d rather have and I feel so honored to be your wife. I pray that every day, as we seek one another we can’t help but encounter Christ first. I pray we never stop learning about one another and I declare that our marriage defies the odds through the power of the Holy Spirit. With God’s help, may you hear more praise than disdain from my mouth. May you feel more love than pain. May you lean on me more than struggle alone. May you find more kindness than criticism. May you experience joy more than anger. May you enter into more embrace than be denied by a turned back. And May you always grow and never wither. I cannot promise you perfection but I can promise you effort. Intentionality. Steadfastness. And faithfulness. I promise to try my hardest every day. I promise to be your biggest fan and build you up. I promise to make you laugh into old age and keep life interesting. I promise to make every day your new favorite day. Thank you for loving me and respecting me and challenging me as you have. I love you for all that you are, all that you have been and all that you will be. I consider being your wife the greatest privilege and am proud to take on your name. If I can’t be a Minnick forever, I definitely want to be a Hoyt, Mrs. Tyler Hoyt. You are my favorite and I will forever cherish you babes.
Lauren, I knew you were something special the first time I saw you. A beautiful, spunky, and confident person with a presence that could light up a room. Our story is not the least bit ordinary, but rather extraordinary. Long ago you were just a dream and a prayer, but by the grace of God you showed up and quickly proved to me that that reality can be better than dreams. Never would I have thought that I would marry someone who gets more intense at basketball games than I do or can spontaneously bust a move they way you do. I love our carpool karaoke sessions and the silly things we do to make each other die laughing, like Heads Up games and attempting and failing miserably at fake accents. God brought you into my life and showed me that the lyrics to one of our favorite Disney songs are true. Love is an open door, it’s never too late to find true love and by putting you in my life, he opened that door for me to have the opportunity to spend the rest of my life with my best friend. You support me in everything that I do and you love me more than I can ever imagine being loved. You know me better than anyone else in this world and somehow still you manage to love me. You are my best friend and one true love. There is still a part of me today that cannot believe that I’m the lucky one who gets to marry you. You inspire me every day to be a better person, a better athletic trainer and a better Christian. I am proud of the person that you are and can’t help but smile at the way people talk about just how good of a woman I have found. As I stand here today and take you as my wife before God and our family and friends, I promise to encourage and inspire you, to be loyal and faithful. I promise to proudly say “that’s my girl” when you undoubtedly make an impact on this world. I promise to always keep you laughing and to comfort you in times of struggle. To always listen first and to never stop learning. To respect and honor you, and to put forth my best effort to be everything that you deserve. I promise to be intentional in our marriage and to keep God as the cornerstone in our lives. Lauren, I love you more than anything in the world. It was always you and remember; I did, I do, and for the rest of my life, I choose you.

3 Sentence Love Story
Best Day Ever:
Have you ever seen the movie “My Best Friend’s Wedding”? Well, let’s just say that with some gumption, boldness and a ‘little prayer for you”-Aretha Franklin boost of confidence, we rewrote the ending to that painfully sad, rom-com. The only best friends in our love story were at the alter!
