Logan, I can not believe the day has finally come where I am standing here before you as your bride and very soon, your wife. Through our whole relationship, I have felt so undeserving to have your heart – and even more so on our wedding day, I feel truly humbled, privileged and honored to be the woman you have chosen to spend the rest of your life with. How the Lord saw me fit to play such a role, I will never know, but I promise to never stop singing my praises back to Him for giving me such a gift.
So on this beautiful, I stand here before you, our family and friends and most importantly our Father, and I joyfully make this lasting covenant with you. A covenant not based on performance or happiness – but one solely based on the Lord’s commitment to us. I promise to love you unconditionally to sacrifice for you and consider your needs before my own. To only speak words that edify, build up and reflect your identity as His beloved son. I promise to point you to the Lord in every season of life, encouraging you in your personal walk with Him as you become more of the man He has created you to be. To serve alongside of you, working as a team to bring more glory to His kingdom together than we could apart. I promise to forgive you always as Christ has forgiven us, to humble myself when I do wrong and admit when I have failed. I promise to never stop fighting for you, fighting for this marriage and protecting it as a sacred gift. And most importantly, I promise to always seek God as the center of our relationship and through Him, give you all my love and faithfulness.
Meghan, I can not express how grateful I am to be standing here with you today. God has been immensely gracious to me in my life, but never have I had a more precious gift than you. Your steadfast love, loyalty and friendship I will never deserve, but will always be thankful for. Today I am committing to a life with you. To love the incredible woman you are today and the extraordinary woman you will be in the future. On this day, I stand before you, our friends and family and our Father and I joyfully make this lasting covenant with you. For the rest of my life, I promise to love you unconditionally. I promise to be gentle and patient with you. I promise to give grace generously, just as Christ has been generous with us. I promise to be the spiritual leader in our family through sacrifice, service and humility. I promise to encourage you in your passions, and to celebrate even the smallest of your victories. I promise to tell you how beautiful you are me, but even more so, how lovely you are to Christ. And lastly, I promise to always seek God as the center of our relationship and through Him, give you all my love and faithfulness.
