I, Mitchell, take you, Sancia, to be my wife. I believe that love isn’t love unless it’s love until the end. With that, I vow to love you in sickness and in health, until death do us part, during every moment along the way. I vow to celebrate with you in the moments that deserve celebrating, and to be your spine when situations are difficult. I vow to love you beyond emotional infatuation, but to also work hard to keep emotion alive. I vow to be dedicated in my own individual walk with Christ, because I can only love you to the extent that I have experienced His love for me. I vow to pursue a threefold relationship between you, me, and God, keeping Him at the center. I vow to follow Christ’s example, to love you completely, jealously, and selfishly. And finally, I vow to be dedicated to growing in my love for you, with my goal, though unattainable, to achieve a love for you as great as the amount that The Lord has for his absolutely beautiful daughter.
Mitchell Timothy Toth. Today I stand before you in awe of the way God has orchestrated our lives to bring us to this moment. This moment is fleeting, and this beautiful day will come to an end, but I want to make you some promises, the forever kind. I vow to remain by your side when the waters are rough, to encourage you in your walk with God even when things happen that we don’t necessarily understand. I promise to follow the pursuit of inspiring creativity with you, and always look for new ways to show you my love. I promise to appreciate the way that you alphabetize everything on our shelves, and to go to as many Marvel movie opening nights as I can. I vow to choose joy in our life together, to never let the sun go down on my anger, and to take quiet moments in our busy lives to appreciate the amazing man that you are and how grateful I am that you are mine. So, do I, Sancia Nicole Friesen, take you to have and to hold from this day forward, to love and to cherish until death do us part? I know that you know me well enough to already know the answer to this question. I do.
