Brittany, I can’t believe this is actually happening. If someone told me even one year ago that we would be getting married right now, I would think they were crazy. It’s amazing to see how much the hand of God has been on not only our friendship, but our relationship and engagement as well.
Brittany, I am humbled to call you mine, and I think you’re the most beautiful of God’s creations. I know that you’re the one I am supposed to go through life with, and there’s no one else I’d rather have by my side.
-I vow that I’ll do my best to be like Jesus
-I vow today in front of God, my friends and family to love you always
-I vow to lead you, guide you, respect you and encourage you
-I vow to keep our marriage Christ centered, and to always point us back to the cross
-I vow to always help you learn the words of songs, even though you still won’t get them
-I vow to always make you laugh when you get upset
-I vow to honor you with my words & actions, and always live up to your trust
-Lastly, I vow to serve you self-sacrificially, and to always find new ways to love you and pursue you every day
You’re my best friend Brittany, and I thank God for that every day.
I can’t wait to see what God has in store for us. I choose you, forever and always.
I choose you today and every single day. You are a new creation – and how cool is it that I’ve got to witness so much of your transformation. We were truly best friends first, something I am so thankful for.
I’ve been waiting for this day for my whole life, but in all the planning, I realized what I’m excited for isn’t so much today, but it’s the covenant we are making with God, in becoming one and for the marriage that was so perfectly orchestrated by God. This is a glimpse of the love that Christ has for us. Thank you for constantly speaking truth into me, reassuring me and honoring me. Thank you for always leading me to God and for challenging me to be better. I’m so glad it’s you-
With all of that-
-I vow to choose you daily, by praying for you, serving you, and honoring you
-I vow to encourage you and to always speak truth into you
-I vow to follow you and to trust you
-I vow to be honest and open with you
-I vow to never give up on you
-I vow to rejoice with you on the mountain tops and mourn with you in the valleys
-I vow to put God first, and you second
-I vow to always point you back to Jesus
-I vow to always be your teammate and to always be for you
-I vow to go to God and ask for a softened heart, so I can always view you how He views you
-I vow to remember where my identity lies -in Jesus- and knowing that only He can fully satisfy me
Preston Crowell, I love the man that God designed you to be. Thank you for never leaving my side – and for the humor you bring to my life. Your mom is smiling down on us today and she is so proud of the man that you have become – God honoring – God fearing – and a gentlemen at the core of your being. You are so special to me and I’m so happy that today, we officially become one.
