To My Bride:
Amber Nicole, I love you.
The Scripture says in the book of James that every good and
perfect gift is from above. This gift was from God, delivered by
Melissa, raised by Pete and Rhonda, and now has been given unto
me. From this day forward, I am blessed with the greatest gift a man
can be given: a wife. You are my best friend, my encourager and my
voice of reason. Entering this marriage covenant, I know that God
has given me new responsibilities as your husband for all of our days.
Amber, I embrace these responsibilities with faith, not fear, as I
know that God desires our marriage to be strong. I vow to love you as
our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has loved the church. This means I
vow to love you sacrificially and selflessly, putting you first before
myself. I vow to spiritually lead you, uplift you and pray for you. I vow
to encourage you and honor you. I also vow to forgive you always,
remembering how much Christ has forgiven me.
My precious Amber, I take you from this day forward for better
or for worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, till death
do us part to love you always. Therefore, I receive you, my love, as
God’s lovely gift to me.
To My Husband:
Today, I have loved you for 812 days. And while we have spent 812 days growing to
know each other, it only took 1 to know that when I look at you, I see the rest of my
life before my eyes. I did not know I could love someone with this type of severity. I
stand in awe of the way God has orchestrated our lives for such a time as this.
Ryan Patrick Fitzgerald –
I vow to serve you with an endless joy.
I vow to respect you, and represent you in a way that makes you proud to say “that’s
I vow to prioritize your needs and seek out opportunities to love you more boldly
I vow to stand by you in sickness and in health, thankful the former of these two
being my specialty!
I vow to always add a little bit, or a lot, of spice to your life
I vow to run a Christ centered household, with children that will know that if their
earthly father is this great, than how much great is their Heavenly Father
Above all else, I vow to honor this covenant until my very last breath.
So today, I have loved you for 812 days, but my truest joy comes in the knowledge in
which that number barely touches the surface of the eternity we will spend
